Bob Ross PBS Remix Puts Us on 'Happy Little Cloud' Nine

PBS has decided to give Bob Ross the YouTube remix treatment.

This is the second video in a series of remixed PBS icons, and as with last month's Mister Rogers remix, it was produced by Symphony of Science's John D. Boswell (AKA, melodysheep).

Bob Ross was the creator and host of The Joy of Painting -- a program that originally ran on PBS from 1983 - 1994. Even after Ross's death in 1995, the program has continued to air on public television and is syndicated worldwide.

Ross was famous for his afro haircut, his soothing voice and his catch-phrases such as "happy little trees" and "happy little clouds." I know I spent hours mesmerized by Ross's work as a child -- and I know I'm not alone!

PBS will continue to release remixes in the future on its PBS Digital Studios YouTube channel.
