BoingBoing, a blog about all kinds of miscellany, is rolling out a major overhaul that will bring with it several changes to the site.

Besides a redesign, new logo, and new mascots, they will also be bringing back user comments after an absence of several years. While they felt they couldn't handle the amount of signal-to-noise back then, they have hired a community manager, Teresa Nielsen Hayden, for that express purpose.

Besides the redesign, and return of old features, they will be launching a totally new sub-division in Gadgets.boingboing.net. Being headed up by Joel Johnson, a former editor at Gizmodo, the new site will focus on personal technology and consumer electronics.
