Tired of destroying pigs with angry birds? How about blowing up zombies with numerous types of ammunition, instead? A new app, Bomb the Zombies, brings together physics-based gaming and zombie killing -- which is always a fun combination.
If you've ever seen Angry Birds, the gameplay won't take any time at all to learn. The bad guys are protected by different structures, and it's player's job to bring everything tumbling down along with the zombies. In later levels, you must squish the zombies while leaving their hostages untouched.
There are 90 levels in the game with six unique worlds -- Metropolis, Haunted Castle, Ancient Ruins and Pirate Bay. Players earn coins for zombie killing that can be used to buy additional locked levels and future mystery upgrades. And a global high score system is available through Game Center or Scoreloop.
Bomb the Zombies is a universal app designed for the iPad and iPhone/iPod touch. It can be downloaded for free in the App Store. There is an option of purchasing a 599-coin pack for $0.99.
