The first episode of Bones Season 11 is going to test all the characters on Fox's long-running hit -- but especially Dr. Brennan.
In the season premiere, Booth mysteriously goes missing and it's up to Brennan and his old friends at the Jeffersonian to help track him down.

All this, of course, takes place about six months after Booth and Brennan left their murder-filled lives behind. In that time, a lot has changed.
Among the notable things? Arastoo is now filling in as lead forensic anthropologist at the Jeffersonian, and, unfortunately, it's his duty to present his findings to Brennan after some remains are found that he believes to be those of her husband.

As we all know, Brennan is not one to react to anything without all the facts first, so it makes sense that she'd demand to examine the bones presented to her with her own eyes. That said, those same eyes are the windows to her deepest fears here, and it's heartbreaking.
If this is any indication of the episode itself, prepare those anxiety meds.
The new season of Bones kicks off Thursday, Oct. 1, at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
