Meanwhile, Booth's gambling addiction past comes back to haunt him after a case throws him into the world of high-stakes gambling. As executive producer Stephen Nathan previously teased to Mashable, that arc is expected to play out over several episodes.
"We wanted to put him in that situation and see how strong he is and see how he contends with old demons," Nathan said. "That will resonate throughout the rest of the season."
