MANCHESTER, Tennessee -- Squish, with his two front teeth stowed away in Tooth Fairy land, broke a Guinness World Record at Bonnaroo, a festival nearly twice as old as he is.

The 7-year-old boy, whom Haim memorably brought on stage in 2013, returned to Bonnaroo this year and claimed the record for most high-fives in an hour with 2,392 on Friday, eclipsing the record of 2,181 high-fives set by Ram Kadam and V Generation in India in 2012.

Thousands of people signed up, lined up and, like a well-oiled machine, smoothly, but enthusiastically gave high-fives to Squish, who stood on a pedestal on Friday because each high-five was required to be performed above all participants' heads.

"He was very nervous in the hours before" Squish's mother, Amy Spears, told Mashable. "Once we started though, he was a machine. He was taunting people to hurry up."

At any given moment at the four-day music festival, someone will raise his or her hand to high-five a fellow festie. The event's culture made Bonnaroo a prime time for Squish (whose real name is Asa) to attempt the record, a feat he didn't take lightly.

Squish trained for this moment with his mom, who has been documenting his Bonnaroo experiences on social media for three years.

"The gentleman holding Squish is our good friend Bill Storms -- he helped stabilize him so he didn't fall," Spears said. "Some of those participants were enthusiastic with their high-fives and almost knocked him down."

Squish and his mom became semi-well-known Bonnaroo attendees in 2013 after they posted a funny YouTube video asking festival producers to add Norwegian artist Bernhoft.

In return, Squish promised to shave his mom's head. It all happened. Also that year, Squish jumped on stage with Haim.

"I am proud of him all the time," Amy said. "He's a crazy fun and interesting kid. He makes life exciting and I know I'm in big trouble once he's older and starts dating. I think it's fantastic I get to watch this kid grow up, and have a little hand in man he will become."

High-five to Squish. There's one more for your collection.
