10 Book Titles That Are More Accurate Than The Originals [PICS]

Unlike dust-jacket summaries, book titles are often vague and sometimes cryptic. How much of the story can you really infer from a phrase like Animal Farm or The Great Gatsby? What if instead titles were brutally honest summaries of a book's plot?

Enter Dan Wilbur, the man behind Better Book Titles, a site that rechristens books with a short, clear summary. Wilbur is a Brooklyn-based writer and comedian, and author of How Not to Read, a book on faking your way through knowledge of literature.

"I will cut through all the cryptic crap, and give you the meat of the story in one condensed image. Now you can read the greatest literary works of all time in mere seconds!" explains Wilbur.

The results of his efforts are often hilarious, but always to-the-point.
