Majra Mucic Gibbons was born in Zenica, Bosnia. She was 4 years old in 1992 when the Bosnian War began and has vivid memories of living in conflict. Her family was lucky enough to be chosen for resettlement, moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2001. She found a way in through sports, and now gives back to other refugees through her work in international aid.
