Here's something new at the movie theater: a stand-up display that trolls you.
To promote its upcoming film The Boxtrolls, LAIKA studios enlisted integrated ad agency Wieden+Kennedy to create this "magic mirror" standee that uses an X-Box Kinect interface. Stand in front of the mirror, do whatever and one of the film's loveable little sewer-dwellers will mimic your every move.
The boxtroll copies everything from arms and leg positions to jumps and facial expressions:
The X-Box Kinect is embedded in the top of the frame, where you'd barely notice it if you weren't looking for it:

There are multiple Boxtroll characters; just step out of the frame and they'll switch up, and each has its own personality:

And because this is a LAIKA creation, even the frame is beautifully hand-crafted to look like something one of these little fellas would've made out of found parts:

The Boxtrolls comes out Sept. 26 -- but here's your chance to get 'trolled a little early.
