Brandy decided to give a free performance in New York City, which is cool -- but she chose to do it on the subway, where people get mad by the slightest disturbance of the peace.

She recently moved to the city from Los Angeles, however, so there's time to learn. "I've hung out in Central Park, Times Square, ridden the bus, and I've gotten accustomed to taking the subway too," she wrote on her blog. "I feel like a real New Yorker. I'm learning the streets and everything, y'all!"

The singer headed home from the gym accompanied by a cameraperson who filmed her covering Whitney Houston's "Home" and was upset when no one acknowledged her at all. Of course, she was wearing sunglasses and a hood. Next time, she should probably ask a fellow commuter to sing a duet of her classic "The Boy is Mine" -- or just wear your dress from the 1997 Cinderella made-for-TV movie.
