SYDNEY -- There is a national hunt underway after a woman left her bridesmaid's dress on a Sydney bus.
Caitlin Box had travelled to Australia from London for her cousin's wedding, when in a jet lagged haze on Monday she boarded a bus to Bondi Beach in Sydney and left the grey dress she had picked up for the wedding on the back seat.
"I'd flown in from London and went straight out for the hen's party so I was still pretty jetlagged on the Monday. I got off the bus early and left it on the back of the bus, but I didn't realise until an hour after," Box told Mashable.
In a desperate move, Box taped posters to bus shelters around Sydney's eastern suburbs, offering a $A200 reward to anyone who handed in the frock. By Friday, she had received no response so local media got involved in the hunt.
"I honestly thought it would get handed in," she said. "I went to the depot and police station every day."

In tears and with just a week until the wedding, Box called the bride, Jess, and confessed.
Jess, who gets married at Bradley's Head on Friday afternoon, didn't turn into a bridezilla and took the news remarkably well, giving Box a black dress to wear instead.
"They are calling me the black sheep ... I match the boy's ties," Box said laughing. "Jess has been so good about it. She just wants everyone to have a good day, but it has definitely added a bit of stress."
