The latest "momentum release" (ooh, look how big we are!) comes from video ad provider BrightRoll, which is announcing today that it has served 500 million ads in video players since its launch in late '06.

It sounds impressive at face value, but then you can consider that YouTube was serving 100 million clips daily back in the middle of 2006 (surely many times that number by now), and VideoEgg is serving more than 20 million video views per day.
