LONDON -- As predicted it was Adele's night at the 2016 Brit Awards with the Londoner sweeping the board collecting four awards.
Other winners on the night included singer-songwriter James Bay, who was named Best British Male Solo Artist, and Coldplay, who took home the award for Best British Group.
Adele was cheered on as she gave a shoutout to Kesha: "I'd like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha," she said from the stage while picking up her first award.
Justin Bieber collected the award for Best International Male, while Icelandic artist Bjork picked up Best International Female, beating Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor.
The awards, which celebrate international as well as British acts, have been accused of failing to represent the industry's ethnic diversity, in an echo of the debate raging around the Academy Awards. All the British nominees this year are white.
Singer Jack Garratt, who has already been named winner of the Critics' Choice prize, said "there are a lot of people who are not here who should be here."
Here are all the winners, along with the nominated runners up.
