LONDON -- As the Met Office recorded temperatures topping 30 degrees celsius in many parts of the country, it's clear that #hottestdayoftheyear has truly taken hold of the UK.
Inevitably, with extreme weather comes extreme reactions; from non-literal dying to topless 1D selfies, people have been venting their frustration with the blistering sunshine over the last 24 hours.
