LONDON -- If there's one thing British people enjoy it's a trip to the pub, and they don't often allow a spot of bad weather to get in their way. Even if the bad weather in question happens to be a flood.

Two incredibly determined pint-drinkers were snapped at the Kirkstall Bridge Inn in Leeds on Sunday, cheerfully enjoy a drink while sat waist-deep in water at a picnic table in the pub's very much flooded beer garden.

Can we all establish that the pub near where I live has flooded and there's 2 guys drinking a pint like nouts wrong pic.twitter.com/bjvbQn8iSZ— Marlsberg (@MarleyAJMegeary) November 15, 2015

It's tricky to pinpoint exactly why the above picture is so perfect. The fact that they're both fully clothed? The bag that's been laid casually on the table next to them? The way they're staring out across the beer garden, almost wistfully, like two men enjoying a fine view on a warm summer's afternoon? It's probably all of those things.

"There's no much to tell really they were just having a pint," local resident Marley, who took the photo above, explained to Mashable. "They were there when the water was round their ankles and just stayed until it stopped raining."

Here are some more photos of the men from different angles, so you can really get the full effect.

This one's good because of the before and after effect; you can see in the picture on the right that the water's still fairly low (around ankle level), but in the one on the left it's up and over their seats. We like the fact their expressions haven't changed between photos.

Nevermind the weather- @Kirkstallbridge beer garden is open!! Cheers pic.twitter.com/sHmQP9h6XZ— leedsbeerfest (@leedsbeer) November 15, 2015

Note the picnic table that has actually capsized beneath the weight of the water in the photo below.

And finally, here's video footage. You can see that they've attracted a bit of a crowd in this one.

We don't know exactly how long the two men stayed for in the end. The evidence above suggests they certainly weren't in any rush to leave, though. We like to think they're still there even now, steadily drinking their pints and waiting for the water level to go down again.
