LONDON -- We've all checked our emails or looked at Twitter during a meeting but a British politician has been caught out playing Candy Crush in a committee meeting.

Perhaps it was no surprise that Conservative MP Nigel Mills got distracted considering the committee was discussing pension reform and the insurance industry, while he was matching sweets on his iPad.

The Sun newspaper published the pictures of the politician mid-game.

“It was a long meeting on pension reforms, which is an important issue that I take very seriously," Mills told the Sun.

“There was a bit of the meeting that I wasn’t focusing on and I probably had a game or two."

He said he was fully engaged and asked questions that he thought were particularly important, but added that he would try not to play it in the future.
