The folks over at Oreo will apparently never tire at churning out limited-edition flavor after limited-edition flavor of its classic cookie.

And as long as they send them our way, we will taste them and report back -- for the sake of service journalism.

This week it was Brownie Batter Oreos -- already on shelves -- and things did not go well. We'll get straight to it.

"They smell like ass." - Half of the Mashable office.

Other cons:

"The smell is OK, like fake brownies."

"It smells like those Lip Smackers."

"I prefer real brownie batter."

"They smell like cheap licorice."

And here are a few somewhat positive reviews:

"It kind of tastes like cake, not brownies."

"They're creamier."

"It's not that different from 'Inside Out Oreos'."

"It's not the worst one."

"They would be great on top of/mixed in with ice cream."

And this:

"I think I liked the Oreo. I mean, it didn't make me feel good about myself, and I think it's dangerous because I could eat the whole package, but it tasted OK."
