Where to Stream Bruce Springsteen's New Album Before Its Release

CBS.com will debut Bruce Springsteen's High Hopes album on Jan. 5, more than a week before its release on Jan. 14, as part of promotion for CBS show The Good Wife.

Networks often incorporate songs into their shows, a move that routinely helps those songs move up in music sales charts, digital download charts and streaming charts. For example, streams for Badfinger's song "Baby Blue" increased 9,000% on Spotify after AMC featured it in the Breaking Bad finale. But this is the first time CBS will debut an entire album on its site, in addition to using some of its songs in an episode.

After the Jan. 5 episode of the legal and political drama, people will be able to stream every song on Springsteen's upcoming 18th studio album on the network's website at 10 p.m. ET that day until Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. ET.

The stream is only available to people in the United States, CBS told Mashable.

“We love using music in The Good Wife, and we always have the music inform the action and the cutting," Robert King and Michelle King, the show's executive producers and creators, wrote in a statement.

Three songs from the High Hopes album (“High Hopes,” “Hunter of Invisible Game” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad”) will be included in The Good Wife's Jan. 12 episode.

The episode, titled "We, the Juries," follows Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Will (Josh Charles) as they "represent one-half of a couple accused of smuggling drugs, but the courtroom becomes mired in confusion and legal technicalities when they insist on separate juries for each client," CBS noted.
