iPad Mini Finds its Smart Case Equivalent in the C6 Magnefix Bookcase

The C6 Magnefix Bookcase does everything that Apple's iPad Smart Case does -- except it's built for the iPad mini.

The case will protect and clean your iPad mini screen, and its cover magnetically locks into place when you fold it back. In the locked position, you can use the iPad mini horizontally, vertically or for typing.

"The cover is strongly held in place in all positions," Simon Motson, a C6 spokesperson, told Mashable in an email. "This development was borne out of frustrations from other cases which were constantly toppling over."

The case is cut so that all the cameras and outlets are still accessible, and the microfibers on the inside of the flap are designed to get rid of dirt and smudges. It also turns on the device when you pull the cover back, and shuts it down when it's closed.

Apple has yet to release a case for the iPad mini, although it does offer a Smart Cover, which will clean and shut down the device when the flap is closed, and bring it to life when open.

Aside from the device for which they're designed, the other differences between the iPad Smart Case and the C6 are their color schemes and prices. Both come in plenty of shades, but the latter's color shows up only on the inside of the case, whereas the Smart Case displays its personality both outside and in. A Smart Case will run you $49.99, while the C6 costs 36 pounds ($57).
