Jumping in a steel cage where you will be nose to nose with one of nature’s most astonishing creatures is one sure way to get your adrenalin pumping.

Divers can get an intimate look the nomadic great white shark, which can grow up to 25 feet long, weigh more than 2 tons and live nearly 50 years.

Rodney Winston Fox, a shark attack survivor, invented the first shark cage after he was attacked during a spearfishing contest off the coast of Australia in 1963. Though the cages are built to withstand the bite of a great white, that doesn't make the thrill any less vivid.
