Caitlyn Jenner made her award show debut at the ESPYs, where she was honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. She opened up her inspiring speech with a sense of humor about her new role as a woman in the public eye trying to survive the red carpet.

"OK girls, I get it," she said before pleading for mercy from the Fashion Police. "Please be kind to me. I'm new at this."

Fortunately, she had a very experienced crew on hand to consult. Jenner hired stylist Jen Rade for the occasion, who has worked with Angelina Jolie, Cher, Maya Rudolph and Kim Kardashian. She dressed in an elegant white Versace gown. And of course, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie were all there to offer support and their exhaustive red carpet wisdom.

This is only Jenner's second public appearance as Caitlyn. She previously joined in the festivities of New York City's Pride Parade on June 28.

Most of the Kardashian/Jenner clan came to the show to their support, coordinating in all-black ensembles to make sure the woman of the night stood out.
