A Canadian man did his best to make films from Up to Danny Deckchair reality in Calgary on Sunday when he took off in a lawn chair attached to more than 100 multicolored helium balloons.

After floating to a great height in his humble patio vehicle, Daniel Boria abandoned ship and parachuted back to Earth, suffering only minor injuries.

The feat was intended to promote his company, All Clean Natural, Boria told the Toronto Star. Police charged him with mischief causing danger to life, and federal charges may also be pending. "I did anticipate they would be a little upset," he said.
