Firefighters in West Hollywood, California, were called to the scene after a dog fell into a 6-inch-wide gap between two walls.

Unable to simply pull the dog out, the firefighters used webbing ropes, soap, a pole and a little ingenuity to bring the dog to safety.

The dog appears to be healthy and unharmed. Neighbors later returned the dog to his family. It is unclear how he got stuck.
