Call of Duty isn't just coming to the newer consoles this year.

When Black Ops III arrives on Nov. 6, it'll be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That's in addition to the previously confirmed PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release platforms, which were announced in late April with the game. No Wii U version; it's confirmed.

The release on older hardware comes with a few concessions. Black Ops III supports four-player cooperative play throughout the campaign, but the PS3 and 360 releases cut that number down to two.

Activision also notes that the current-gen versions of the game include "features and functionality" that aren't supported by older machines. The promised multiplayer beta is also exclusive to the newer hardware.

That's all the publisher has to say at this point. Black Ops III will definitely be one of the big names at E3 this year, and -- as has become the tradition -- you can expect a first look at live gameplay during Microsoft's annual press conference on the morning of June 15.
