Call of Duty: Black Ops III's vision of 2065 is a frightening place.

We may not actually know that developer Treyarch is delivering a future war setting in its next Call of Duty game, but this new trailer paints a clear enough picture. In the time between now and 2065, advances in bionics -- which start with the noble goal to "end disability" -- give rise to a whole new crop of social intolerance and strife on a global scale.

What happens when it's no longer just about fixing disabilities? What is society's response when "modified humans" use bionics to enhance their natural talents? How long before these developments give rise to full-blown super soldiers?
