Calvin Harris is really into being Mr. Taylor Swift, whether that involves defending her honor to ex-boy band members or cat sitting.
He wasn't at the VMAs last night because he knows better than to crash girls' night. Also, her Scottish love had a gig in Glassgow, because he is a DJ in addition to being a boyfriend. But his heart was in LA while his lady premiered her video, gave a surprise performance and took home Video of the Year.
And some think he was there all along. In the body of a lion, naturally.

In Swift's romantic "Wildest Dreams" video that premiered just before the VMAs, she takes on the role of an Elizabeth Taylor-type filming a movie in Africa who finds herself in a crash and burn love affair with her handsome co-star.

A stoic lion rounds out the cast of characters, dutifully watching Swift and standing by her side no matter what. And a fan on Tumblr pointed out that Harris switched his Instagram avatar to coordinate with the video's premiere. It's sweet and creepy.
There is simply no way to look at this as anything other than a sign of eternal devotion. Calvin Harris is the dreamiest Animorph on the nightclub circuit.
