LAS VEGAS -- Hardcore audiophiles still transitioning into the age of digital just got another tool designed to make personal streaming easier with the introduction of Cambridge Audio's new CX Series of audio devices.

The foundation of the new set of offerings is the CXN Upsampling Network Music Player.

Not only does the network music player have the ability to display the names and song titles of artists currently playing, but the device also shows you the music group's album art. In that way, it's reminiscent of iTunes, but with the kind of audio fidelity that transcends your personal laptop DJ sessions.

The device can stream from a number of sources including a Mac or PC, and works with services including Pandora, iHeart Radio, Rhapsody and Spotify.

Apple users will also be pleased to know that the CXN offers Apple AirPlay functionality for streaming connectivity with iTunes and iOS devices like iPads and the iPhone.

Enhanced by new Cambridge Audio AV receivers and stereo amplifiers and even a bit of a throwback -- a CD player – the CXN Upsampling Network Music Player will be available for $999 in the first quarter of 2015.
