LONDON -- It may not have been the most riveting thing you’ve ever seen, but there were a few standout moments in the first major TV event of the UK election.
In a Channel 4, Sky News broadcast, British Prime Minister David Cameron and Ed Miliband were interviewed by ex-Newsnight veteran Jeremy Paxman before Sky News’ Kay Burley moderated questions from the 100-strong audience. Cameron had ruled out a head-to-head debate earlier this month.
If you missed Thursday night's broadcast, these 12 tweets sum it all up.

6. 'Man on the Tube' could be the UK's answer to Joe the Plumber

12. And, perhaps most importantly, his support is growing because of this crucial development
If this man is Prime Minister I will leave the UK. This man is not Great Britain. This is Russell Brand in a chuffing suit #Battle4Number10— Katie Hopkins (@KTHopkins) March 26, 2015
