King Digital Entertainment, the company behind popular mobile game Candy Crush Saga, filed paperwork with the Security and Exchanges Commission on Tuesday to go public. King Digital's various games boast an impressive number of users -- a collective 304 million monthly uniques as of 2013's fourth fiscal quarter.

However, only about 4% of those users actually spend money on the developer's more than 180 titles, which include games such as Bubble Witch Saga and Pet Rescue Saga, according to the SEC filing.

The following chart, created by Statista, shows the evolution of King Digital's monthly user base, alongside the number of users who purchased at least one virtual item.
