There are several automated, web-based tools out there for finding particular services, such as a handy man, or a contractor, and even a babysitter. From SitterCity to Care.com, the space isn't lacking for resources. CareSquare, which launched as a rather basic offering for matching parents with babysitters just over a year ago, has just raised $390,000 in seed funding according to VentureBeat, in order to better compete in the market, and is reportedly seeking additional funding as well.

As VentureBeat noted, CareSquare will be layering more features, such as the ability to seek for caregivers that will help out with taking care of the elders in the household as well. CareSquare has attempted a number of tactics for competing with others in the market, such as a free browsing and scheduling tool.

In all, such tactics revolve around the social networking end of things, meaning that CareSquare is hoping to build the biggest, strongest network in terms of actually connecting people for the purpose of self-promotion and seeking out quality caregivers. To this end, CareSquare has also added in integrated options such as a Facebook application.
