Tinder has officially transcended into a new dating realm -- one between inanimate objects.
He's got a gray coloring. He comes pre-shampooed. And he will destroy you in a carpet pun-off. Meet your new match: "Carpet."
The Internet has outdone itself again with a Tinder profile and accompanying series of texts created around a 25-year-old, single and ready to mingle "Carpet." The conversation first surfaced on Reddit on Tuesday under the username phreshmemes.
And what ensues is either glorious or totally grimace-worthy. A text chain of pure carpet jokes that bring up topical lines like "friction in the relationship," "burning people a lot" and "no, the drapes aren't matching."
The lengths these two interested parties go to pull off the joke is commendable, and at the end of the chain a long-winded effort is made to come to a final resting pun of "Poly Esther."
Though carpets had never seemed as the go-to quippy home upholstery, it seems the online dating scene has brought out the best in the material.
Just be safe out there or you might get rug burn.
