When the cheers died down in theaters for General Leia Organa in The Force Awakens, insidious mutterings began to take seed. The General -- or rather, actress Carrie Fisher -- looked as if 30 years had passed since we last saw her.

To be exact, 32 years. And Fisher has had it with body-shaming. The 59-year-old actress lost weight for The Force Awakens, but sadly faced criticism on Twitter -- surprise, surprise -- for not looking like her 19-year-old self in the new film.

A fed-up Fisher tweeted her response.

Please stop debating about whether OR not [I] aged well.unfortunately it hurts all3 of my feelings. My BODY hasnt aged as well as I have.Blow us — Carrie Fisher (@carrieffisher) December 29, 2015

This isn't the first time Fisher has spoken out against the premium Hollywood places on youth and physical appearance, but she saw fit to re-emphasize her position.

Youth&BeautyR/NOT ACCOMPLISHMENTS,theyre theTEMPORARY happy/BiProducts/of Time&/or DNA/Dont Hold yourBreath4either/ifUmust holdAir/takeGarys— Carrie Fisher (@carrieffisher) December 30, 2015

Now that her excellency has spoken, can we give it a rest? Please?
