It's not the best way to revive your career.

Australian former world MotoGP champion Casey Stoner has been injured in a spectacular crash that took place at the Suzuka 8 Hours Race in Japan on Sunday. It was his first competitive race since 2012 and Stoner was in the lead when he came off his Honda on a bend and somersaulted up the road.

Stoner broke his shoulder and fractured his leg in the high-speed crash, and was forced to crawl to safety from the track. The dramatic crash was blamed on a stuck throttle as he entered a hairpin turn, according to Sky News.

He later tweeted a photo from his hospital bed, proclaiming the whole thing "sucks!" It looks like we will have to keep on waiting for his MotoGP comeback.
