Not everyone wants to get life advice from a cookie. As much as fortune cookies have become a staple of Chinese food takeout, one company decided it was finally time to modernize the classic, and introduce a new treasure to the cookie middle.

A cat.

Felissimo, a Japanese company that specializes in cat-based novelty goods, recently developed Dagashi Nyanko Kaurenbo, or "Hide-and-Seek Kitty Cookies." Bite into a kitty cookie and you’ll find a chubby, friendly cat just waiting to say “HI!” to you (Their adorable emotional range appears to run from: “Hi! It’s time for me to take a nap!” to “Will you be my friend?”)

Kitty cookies come with cylindrical karinto sweets, as well as two wrapped senbei rice crackers, which forms the cookie part of the fortune. Together, the crackers and sweet make a delicious cookie meal.
