Beanie Babies are still a thing and Cecil the lion will soon become one.

According to a press release on August 3, Ty Warner has created a Cecil the lion Beanie Baby in memory of the big cat who became world-famous after he was lured out of a national park in Zimbabwe and shot by an American tourist.

According to Ty, 100% of the profit from sales of the Cecil plush toy will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of the University of Oxford, the group of researchers who was studying the lion when he was killed and continues to work toward wildlife conservation all over Africa.

“Hopefully, this special Beanie Baby will raise awareness for animal conservation and give comfort to all saddened by the loss of Cecil,” said Ty Warner, founder of Ty Inc.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Cecil Beanie Baby will go on sale in late September.
