LONDON -- Whenever actors and celebrities visit London they're usually here for work (whether it's to shoot at one of the city's filming studios, to promote a recent movie or to attend a red carpet event), but what do they get up to when they've got a bit of spare time on their hands?
If they had to describe their perfect day in London, what exactly would it involve?
This was a question Mashable put to various celebrities -- from Kate Winslet to Colin Farrell -- on the red carpet at the 2015 London Film Festival.
While there were quite a mixture of different responses, two of the recurring themes were parks and cycling.
"My perfect day in London is a day like today, where it's brisk but it's bright," actor Michael Smiley told Mashable, "I get on the bicycle and I wear my long cotton socks and my riding boots, and I go off for a cycle along the South Bank."
Composer Daniel Pemberton, who wrote the music for Steve Jobs, also enjoyed cycling along the South Bank -- albeit in a slightly different capacity.
"Cycling in London is the best thing you can do, it's fantastic," he said. "Cycling when you're drunk, late at night, back along the South Bank -- that's my favourite thing."
Jeff Daniels, however, had a more simple idea.
"A perfect day in London is to walk outside the hotel and there's no paparazzi," he said.
