From billboards to magazines, to television and your favorite movies, celebrities can be seen everywhere. But here's somewhere you never expected to see them: historical paintings from two centuries ago.
We found striking resemblances between eight popular celebrities and portraits from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Though the hairstyles and fashions may be markedly different, there is undoubtedly a strong resemblance between the subjects of the paintings and our modern-day icons.
How did this happen? Are they related? Is it coincidence? Are there time travelers? We're not sure. All we know is that the cross-generational resemblance is undeniable.
