ChaCha, the human-powered search engine, is announcing a distribution agreement with blinkx, the video search engine.
ChaCha can now provide its users with video search results from blinkx ever-growing index of video clips from around the web. Users can get blinkx search results instantly when they perform a search, or with the support of the ChaCha guide, who assists users' search queries in real time via chat. ChaCha continues to see growth for their search approach, which puts a human face to the act of web search, and they have enlarged their team to include a reported 30,000 search experts. In true blinkx nature, they have partnered with another search engine in an effort to spread the channels by which their web results are found. It's a dualy beneficial deal for both ChaCha and blinkx, for content and revenue purposes, especially as blinkx has recently released their Remote feature, which finds full length programs.
