The world is a big place, and there's never a better reminder of that than a good ol' fashioned photo competition.
Intrepid Travel's February competition focused on "challenges," and asked travelers to share experiences they had on the road that were outside their comfort zone.
Some photographers took the competition's theme literally, documenting the difficulties of traversing different parts of the world, while others went abstract and spiritual with their definition of "challenge."
