Sometimes, quitting your job on live television can actually work out.

Former reporter Charlo Greene made headlines in September after quitting her job at KTVA in Anchorage, Alaska, with an f-bomb.

"[I] will be dedicating all of my energy for fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but … f*ck it, I quit,” she announced on live TV.

Luckily for Greene, her wish came true. Last night, Alaska, along with Oregon and Washington, D.C. voted in support of marijuana legalization.

Greene posted a video to her Facebook page on Wednesday to express her happiness over the vote's outcome.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Post by Charlo Greene.

"Honestly, I don't even know what to say right now," Greene says in the video. "Aside from the fact that we just made history. It's a fact. We just made history for doing a good thing. Congratulations."

After quitting her job, Greene launched an Indiegogo campaign, which raised funds for her group, the Alaska Cannabis Club, to help fight for marijuana reform in the state. The campaign exceeded its $5,000 goal, raking in $8,438 dollars.
