Comic Sans. It's the Internet Explorer of fonts.
It's not often that a typeface prompts a movement, but since 1999, there has been a mobilization to "Ban Comic Sans." Since then, the font has been scorned by the masses, who take issue with its migration from its comic book roots into commerce. Comic Sans hatred also hit a fever pitch this summer when CERN dared to use the font to announce the discovery of the Higgs Boson particle.
For those who love to hate Comic Sans, grab your stressball and check out this gallery of some of the world's best-known logos rendered in the font. Credit (or blame) for this creation goes to designer Oleg Tarasov. You can see more of his Comic Sans logo work here.
