Cheerios' first Super Bowl ad will have some familiar faces.

The ad casts a family that starred in a memorable Cheerios ad last year, which focused on how Cheerios is good for your heart and featured an interracial family. The commercial unexpectedly attracted a ton of attention after racist YouTube comments stirred up controversy. The comments on the original ad have since been disabled.

This time, the family uses Cheerios to describe to their daughter that an addition to family is coming, and much to the mother's surprise, the expected baby comes with some compromises.

The modern family was never intended to be controversial, and despite some backlash, thousands of Americans have taken to social media, like YouTube and Facebook to show their support. Camille Gibson, vice president of marketing for Cheerios at General Mills told The New York Times, “there are many kinds of families, and we celebrate them all.”

The spot is Cheerios first Super Bowl ad, and comments are currently enabled, and show very positive feedback.
