Chevy, you evil geniuses.

The car company's Super Bowl XLIX ad for its Chevy Colorado truck aired quickly after kickoff, momentarily giving all of America a collective heart attack. The 30-second spot, showing a broken image and then cutting to complete dead air, fooled most game watchers that their cable had gone down.

Audible gasps, angry tweets and panicked chuckles ensued, as the ad returned to Chevy discussing its new car with built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi (which would've let you stream the game if your cable service actually went out).

Well played, Chevy -- but never do that again.
