If you and your significant other have grown weary of the standard, boring Valentine's Day gifts of flowers and assorted chocolate, this Alabama couple will bring you hope for the future.

In lieu of flowers, Kamren Kennedy gave his girlfriend, Tiera Leftwich, a bouquet of chicken nuggets and waffle fries. In return, he received a bouquet of Reese's candy.

"My girlfriend eats Chick-Fil-A about 4 times throughout the week, and I wanted to give her something that had a little bit of comedy towards it and also something that would be personal," Kennedy told Mashable in an email.

Kennedy made the bouquet out of 30 nuggets and two orders of large fries.

Kennedy said the project took roughly three hours to create -- about two hours for a trial run the day before, and one hour on the day of the gift exchange. Basically, this couple put more into their food bouquets than you did into your dinner reservations and single roses.

We could all learn from this couple and their nugget-based love.
