Did someone say widgets? Just like FavoriteThingz, Nabbr (which is looking good these days) and Kaboodle's new MySpace slideshows, you can cut and paste some code to put an animated Flash widget on your blog. But although the hotlist is Flash-based, the code is javascript - that pretty much rules out use on MySpace, hi5, Friendster and most of the major social networks. They're probably targeting mommy bloggers for now (it works on Blogger, for instance) but there's a much wider market for this.
All in all, I think they're off to a good start. Even so, ChickAdvisor is one of those sites that stuns you with a great design, then seems less compelling when it comes to features. Then again, it doesn't seem that I'm the target demographic.
