It's never too early to try to change the world.

Teaching your kids at an impressionable young age about the most important issues of our time can benefit their development, and help shape their passion for social justice later in life. And considering various studies show that more books at home give children higher advantages across the board, it's a two-fer.

International Children's Book Day is Thursday, so we compiled a short list of fun books that will teach your kids about human rights, fighting for a good cause and making the world a better place.

You'll find ABC books that feature influential American women, beautifully illustrated pages tackling race, and more. These titles are your kid's literary starter kit for making a difference.
