DailyFinance has an article discussing the the potential impact China could have on Apple's bottom line, as well as the installed-base of iPhone users. China has more than 1 billion people and a robust wireless infrastructure. Businesses everywhere are targeting China as potential growth vehicles, but no space is as hot -- and seems as ripe for explosion -- as the Chinese smartphone market.
As DailyFinance points out, if Apple only captures a tiny percentage of the market it could mean billions of dollars in profits and a ton of new customers. Assuming the Chinese government doesn't make it useless, this could also be a huge area of potential growth for iPhone developers -- especially those with quality localized applications.
