The first rule of performing live is to never get caught lip-synching.

Chinese folk singer Sa Dingding found herself in an extremely embarrassing situation on national TV, when she held her mic upside down during a live performance at the Lantern Festival Gala in China.

Sa was quick enough to realise her mistake and (impressively) flipped the mic back onto its right side. She even gave the audience a sheepish grin, but unfortunately her cringe-worthy slip up was caught on camera and aired on CCTV 15.

The singer has since joked on her Weibo account that she'll sharpen her acting skills "next time." For her sake, she might want to lay off the lip-synching for now altogether.
