Who says print is dead?

Chipotle unveiled a new program Thursday called Cultivating Thought, which features original essays from 10 writers, actors and thinkers printed on Chipotle cups and bags.

The group includes George Saunders, Judd Apatow, Michael Lewis and Jonathan Safran Foer. Foer, who is curating the series, developed the idea while he was eating a burrito and realized he had nothing to read.

“We live in a world in which there is shrinking space for literature and writing, and less time than ever for quiet reflection,” Foer said in a statement. “The idea of expanding the space and time, of creating a small pocket of thoughtfulness right in the middle of the busy day, was inspiring to me -- particularly given the size and diversity of the audience, which is America itself."

Starbucks did something similar nearly a decade ago with "The Way I See It" campaign, which featured inspirational quotes on cups.
