LONDON -- New Jersey governor (and Dallas Cowboys fan) Chris Christie watched the Super Bowl in a London bar with a few Rutgers students by his side.

While American football isn't a Sunday pastime in the UK, the Super Bowl did draw crowds in pubs throughout London. Two networks -- Sky News and Channel 4 -- aired the game, which started at 11:30 p.m. London time.

Hours before the big game, Christie cheered a football game of a different kind. With a red-and-white scarf tied around his neck, the governor watched Arsenal, London's Premiere League football club, from the Director's Box

“I’ve processed some soccer, and that was about it -- or football, as we should call it,” Christie told reporters after the match.

But even though Christie may be a household name in the Northeast U.S., people in London didn't quite understand the fanfare that surrounded him. As reporters flanked him after the match, drunken fans chanted: "Who are you? Who are you?"
